Obtaining a ranking in prestigious international directories is a key factor in positioning law firms in the market and enhancing their reputation.
The leading international legal directories, Chambers and Partners and The Legal500, conduct their research to tight deadlines and follow a strict research schedule, which have slight alterations year on year.
Both directories provide the most up-to-date rankings for legal professionals and their firms – both are considered to be the most prestigious in the business due to their focus on independent research and the fact that there is no way to “buy” a place in either guide. It is free to participate in the research for both directories, ensuring an unbiased and consistent result.
However, submitting an application is not a guarantee that a department will obtain a place. It is therefore incredibly important to carefully select and present the most relevant cases for the practice areas in question, put forth only the best “client referees”, and of course provide this information to the directories by the strict deadlines.
